The Music of Italy

$1,500.00

On a recent trip to Italy, I collected collage ephemera to include in this mixed media piece. If you look closely, you will see the top of a pizza box (from which I truly enjoyed the pizza), street side posters, Italian magazine photos, restaurant placemats and salt packets, a fabric clothing label, and a metal cross placed above the steeple of the church. I also used molding paste, tissue paper, and vintage photographs, etc. Acrylic paints, washes, metallics and inks provide the brilliant colors. Detail work was completed using a fine line writer. Depth was created by adding resin as the final layer of this work of art, also giving it a beautiful glossy finish. I hope you enjoy this artwork as much as I enjoyed Italy and the creating of this piece. The subject matter is continued onto the sides of the deep canvas, giving interest to all angles of view. The dimensions are 24” W x 48”H x 1.5”D
