Under the Ocean: Frolicking
These brilliant hand painted seahorses are enjoying their afternoon swimming amongst the reef in this mixed media piece. Mesh produce bags, honey comb shade samples (from recent renovations in my New York condo), vintage stamps, circular stickers, official post marks from the 1940’s, aspects of vintage envelopes, acrylic paint, Hershey Kiss Niggly Wigglys (as coined by Mr. Hershey), acrylic inks, Asian paper, magazine pictures, and as always, a piece of my son’s homework were used to create this piece. Depth was created by adding resin as the final layer of this work of art, also giving it a beautiful glossy finish. This painting is 25.5 inches wide X 37.5 inches in height X 1.25 inches in depth. It is framed in an antique silver/black illusion floater frame.
